$1,700 stolen from car, Bitcoin scam

Retail theft

Dec. 28, 11:03 p.m.: A 63-year-old male from the 4500 block of North 8th Street, Philadelphia, and a 22 year-old male from, 3900 block of Bennington Street, Philadelphia, were charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property at the Staples. The incident occurred on Dec. 6.

False ID to police

Dec. 28, 9:41  a.m.:  A 32-year-old male from the  2600 block of Howard Street, Philadelphia, was charged with false identification to law enforcement, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia  in the 1900 block of Robinson Avenue.

DUI

Dec. 30, 110:38 a.m.: A 36-year-old female from the unit block of Iroguois Court, Chesterbrook, was charged with DUI, suspended driver’s license and careless driving at West Chester Pike and Lawrence.

Possession of marijuana

Dec. 30, 11:57 p.m.: An 18-year-old male from the 1600 block of South Napa Street, Philadelphia was charged with possession of marijuana  at the Polo Field in the 900 block of Railroad Avenue.

Receiving stolen property

Dec. 30, 1:46 p.m.: A 26-year-old female from the 3700 block of Clarendon Avenue, Philadelphia was charged with receiving stolen property, suspended driver’s license and improper child restraint at Haverford and Wynnewood roads.

DUI

Jan. 1, 3:35 a.m.: A 61-year-old male from the unit block of East Wilmot Avenue was charged with DUI, a suspended driver’s license and restrictions on alcoholic beverages at Karakung Drive and Manoa Road

Public Drunkenness

Dec. 29, 1:47 p.m.: A 41-year-old male from the 900 block of Poplar Avenue was cited for public drunkenness at the Oakmont Lot on the 2400 block of Darby Road.

Retail Theft

Dec. 30, 5:10 p.m.: An unknown male stole tools from the Lowe’s on the 100 block of Township Line Road.

Dec. 30, 4:56 p.m.: At the 2800 block of Morris Road and unlocked vehicle was entered and a purse containing $1,700 and a debit card were stolen.

Forgery

Dec. 30, 3:03 p.m.: At the 400 block of Bryan Street a check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.

Identity Theft

Dec. 30, 12:02 p.m.: At the 1400 block of Lawrence Road a victim reported that someone used her identity to attempt to withdraw money from her bank account.

Fraud

Dec. 30, 1:04 p.m.: At the 100 block of East Manoa Road a victim reported that someone gained access to her bank account and made a withdraw.

Dec. 30, 11:40 p.m.:  At the Sunoco station on the 400 block of East Township Line Road, an employee reported that he received a call from someone claiming to be his boss’s supervisor. He advised him that he needed money sent to him for supplies that were getting delivered. He stated that he should remove money from the register and put it in the BitCoin machine. He supplied an email address to send the BitCoin.

Dec. 31, 10:18 a.m.: On the unit block of Joann Circle, a victim reported that a fraudulent check was cashed on his business account.

Dec. 31, 11:53 a.m.: At Citizens Bank on the 1300 block of West Chester Pike, the bank manager reported an unknown male attempted to cash a fraudulent check.

Disorderly Conduct

Jan. 1, 12:12 a.m.: On the 100 block of West Hillcrest Avenue, a 31-year-old male from the 500 block of Woodland Avenue was cited for disorderly conduct.

Retail Theft

Jan. 2, 11:51 a.m.: At Lowe’s on the 100 block of West Township Line Road, a loss prevention officer observed an unknown male enter the lumber section and select flooring-related merchandise, then go directly to customer service to complete a return to receive a store credit.

Forgery

Jan. 2, 2:35 p.m.: On the 100 block of North Concord Avenue, a check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.

Police issues 23 moving violations, 27 warnings, 9 non-traffic citations and 89 parking tickets for the week.
